Who are the CITB?
The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is an industry training board that’s striving to create a safer working environment for the construction industry. They support construction companies and employees, develop training standards, and ensure the right skills are in place to meet the growing needs of the construction industry.
In April 2018, they introduced Approved Training Organisation (ATO) status and launched their Construction Training Directory. CITB ATOs, like us, provide training to an industry-agreed standard and feature in the Directory. For you as an employer, this is great. You can easily find quality training for your employees and keep track of their training and qualifications.

What is CITB training?
CITB training grants and funding are a great way to allow you to increase the skillset employees without incurring heavy costs. The construction industry as a whole needs skilled workers, so the CITB grant scheme supports you as you train your staff in essential skills. However, you must be registered with the CITB and meet their general terms and conditions to apply. The courses you send staff on must also be approved training courses – which is why our status as an approved training organisation makes Warren Access is a great choice.
The CITB grants scheme is for approved short courses ranging from 3 hours to 39 days in duration – but the majority of our courses can be completed in a single day. We can help you understand how to submit your training grant application and can answer any questions you may have about how the scheme works. You must be involved in the levy in order to qualify.
Claim grants today to begin upskilling your workforce and helping the entire industry advance. We offer support training and guidance for construction employers across the country. You can find out more about the CITB process on their website – or contact us for further information on our CITB ATO status, training courses or any other working at height needs you may have.
