IPAF MEWP Operator training

Congratulations Mel, Klaudia and Alison on passing your IPAF MEWP Operator training

Continued Personal Development is important for us. We want our employees to get the most out of working for us and to feel a part of the work-at-height industry. That is why we put all our employees, wherever they work in the company, through their IPAF MEWP Operator training. It gives them a greater understanding of work at height, an appreciation for health and safety, and helps them to better help our customers, whether that is to advise on hires or to share their own experiences of training to put a trainees mind at ease.

Supporting women in construction

Back in January, Mel, Klaudia and Alison from our Newcastle depot were all put through their paces and passed their IPAF MEWP Operator 3a and 1b training. The sun didn’t come out for them, but they all had a great day proving that working at height is not just for men.

Mel, our Customer Relations Coordinator, said of the experience: ‘’I’m grateful I was able to complete my IPAF training as it has allowed me not only to feel more confident but also to have a deeper understanding of the use and safety procedures necessary for working at height. I’m also now able to advise customers on the training experience based on personal experience!’’.

Continued development

The experience doesn’t stop with training. Since passing, Mel and Alison have tested their love of heights with a trip up in our biggest platform – the 33m Ruthmann T330 truck-mount. They both went to full height and had a chance to see the office and surrounding area from the sky. They weren’t quite able to spot their houses, though!
