Now the team have had a bit of time to settle in, it’s time for us to shout about it – Our Huntingdon home has moved.
It was back in December, amid the Christmas chaos, that we packed up the old depot and training centre and transported everything a few miles down the road to the Abbots Ripton Estate. We are now nestled amongst the trees and sharing space with the Estate’s working farm.
The first few months were always going to be challenging. But the team have been brilliant and settled in nicely. The commute is better for everyone, and they can bring their dogs to work, which is a real perk.
The Huntingdon team celebrates the successful move with a night out.
Abbots Ripton Estate
The Abbots Ripton Estate is a picturesque area known for its extensive woodlands and native elm trees. It’s impressive to see from the ground, but when you combine the woodlands with Abbots Ripton and Winnington’s 14 miles of hedges and 96 ponds, you can be sure our trainee MEWP Operators will never be short of a view!
More than the landscape, though, is the sense of community. We share the Estate with various local businesses and really feel welcomed into the area.
We’ve only touched the surface of what is here, but if you’re visiting us, we recommend stopping at our new local, The Elm. The impressive Grade II-listed building has four bedrooms and a variety of local, seasonal food on offer.
For plant life, you can’t go wrong with Abbots Ripton Hall Gardens. Its 8.5 acres are home to a five-acre lake and around 1,600 plant species. There is also a collection of oak trees grown from acorns from around the world.
Purpose-built training centre
Our brand-new training centre has been purpose-built for our needs with comfortable, fully equipped training rooms and dedicated indoor and outdoor training spaces for practical modules. Within the space, we offer a variety of IPAF and PASMA training courses, with our most popular being IPAF MEWP Operator (Cat 1b, 3a, 3b) and PASMA Towers for Users – see our courses page for more information and get in touch if you have any questions or to book a place.
Parking is right outside and, being only three miles from the centre of Huntingdon, we are easily accessible and close to all the local shops and amenities. We also have the Estate on our doorstep for those who like a walk in the fresh air.

Our training centre is already proving popular with our trainers and trainees. Trainer Tony Campana said of the new facilities:
