Hire FAQs

Whether you are involved in construction, arboricultural, facilities management, maintaining properties, organising events or anything in between there are times when you may need to safely access heights. Whether you just need to go straight up or need outreach, Access Platforms allow you to do this in the safest and most efficient possible way.

We can help you save time and money by providing you with comprehensive advice and offer solutions for your access and training needs.

We will work with you to offer our expert guidance in choosing a machine. We will take into account location, accessibility, assessment of risk and time required. If you need further help, we will decide what’s most suitable  - whether it's for inside or outside, the height you need to reach, whether you also need to go over somewhere, ground and any special access restrictions. This ensures you have the right machine and your job runs smoothly.

There is a minimum hire period of 4 hours for operator hires and 1 day for self-drive hires but could be as long as you like. As we can also provide long term hires to fit your needs.

Most of our machines are available for self-drive hire if you hold the correct IPAF qualification. Alternatively we have experienced operators available for half and full day ‘all inclusive’ hires.

For further information on our IPAF training please visit our training page here.

Our modern fleet of access equipment is continually expanding to satisfy our customers changing needs. They include; scissor lifts, tracked access equipment, vehicle mounted platforms and mobile booms. However, by being a part of the Access Alliance network this also gives us access to over 8,500 machines from the world’s leading manufactures.

Full details and specifications for our hire fleet can be found on our hire page here.

Insurances are not included with any hire. If you do have your own vehicle and hired in plant insurance please check with your insurance/broker before hiring as sometimes certain vehicles will not be covered. We can supply full specifications of our vehicles on request if your insurance asks for this.

If you do not have your own vehicle or hired in plant insurance we can supply this for you at an extra charge. For more details please ask one of our hire desk team.
