We were delighted to participate in a fund-raising day for Daft as a Brush on Friday 7th July held at Prudhoe Golf Club.
The charity golf day was organised by one of the volunteers, Larry Hindmarsh. Congratulations to team Whickham & Wynard on winning the event.
A fantastic £2,300.00 was raised on the day!
Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care offers staffed custom-made vehicles to transport outpatients, free of charge, to and from Hospital who are undergoing Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy cancer treatment.
Prudhoe Golf Club is one of the best inland facilities in the region. It has a fantastic 18-hole course, 6-hole par 3, junior coaching academy and a warm welcome in the clubhouse.
We entered our team of 4 (as featured above!) and a great day was had by all. Most importantly, £2,500 was raised for this amazing charity.
David Hetherington (2nd from right) said: “We had a really great day and it was a very well attended event…. the weather was kind to us too. Unfortunately, we didn’t win!”
