The Tall Ships Races 2010 in Hartlepool hit new heights last weekend as an estimated 350,000 visitors flocked to the site on Sunday 8th August 2010.
There were 57 vessels in port and the event attracted around one million visitors over the course of four days.
When the Tall Ships fleet arrived in Hartlepool spectators witnessed the homecoming of over 70 Scouts after a great adventure with The Tall Ships Races. The Scouts joined seven vessels from the UK Sail Training fleet and race from Kristiansand in Norway with all the other Tall Ships across the North Sea to Hartlepool Harbour.
The group of over 70 young Scouts aged 15 to 19 taking part in The Tall Ships Races this year all came from the North East of England and included 40 Explorer Scouts, 24 Sea Scouts and 6 young people from the Scout base Lookwide Project and 10 Adult Leaders in support.
To help support the Northumnberland County Scout Group, Warren Access sponsored a banner on the Challenger 2 ship. Our banner was advertising our two largest lorry mounted Multitel platforms. For further information on our fleet, click on the following link http://www.warrenaccess.co.uk/vehicles/
