Case Study
Due to weather damage at King Edward & Priors House apartments in Tynemouth, all windows needed replacing front and back on both blocks. Due to local planning regulations the windows needed to be replaced in the same sash style, and also in wood not UPVC, therefore requiring all windows to be individually made.
“An excellent client that we thoroughly enjoyed working with...”Graeme Warren
The Difficulties
This was a new venture for both companies and many problems presented themselves over the summer months, such as delays with window manufacturing, the bad summer weather and uncertain working timescales for the hydraulic platform requirements. If the job had to be delayed for any of the above reasons, it would quite often need to be rescheduled at short notice. Due to the communal front gardens, a larger outreach was required at certain sections of the apartments, therefore requiring higher hydraulic platforms on certain days.
Our Solution
Warren Access carried out an initial site survey, and had many comprehensive discussions with Brannen & Partners to advise the best way forward, and to recommend particular machines for each stage of the work. An approximate work schedule was given and the first stages of the job were arranged in line with this. We worked very closely with Brannen & Partners with regular updates and discussions on the progress of the work, and the schedule was frequently tweaked throughout the summer to ensure a smooth transition throughout.

Customer Testimonial
Warren Access were considerate and understanding in appreciating the difficulties we were experiencing in this large project of window installation, often at considerable height at these apartment blocks. They advised on the appropriate machine for whatever situation we required and ensured that the machines were always there on time, ready for work to commence. The operation lasted throughout the summer months and there were many varied circumstances which gave us very short notice alterations to the programme which Warren Access very successfully co-operated with.
